Collection: LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF AND FIRST LUTHERAN QUILTERS

From the container ship accident in Baltimore Harbor to bombings in Beirut and earthquakes in Turkey, volunteer quilters are there. For 80 years, compassionate people have made nearly 28 million quilts for those in need worldwide. Distributed by Lutheran World Relief (LWR), the impact of these handmade quilts on recipients is profound.

In 2025 alone, First Lutheran quilters crafted 133 quilts, gathering each month to sew, tie, and share God’s love. Their generosity—often offering their own materials and expertise—reflects a true spirit of service and compassion.
